While both of these share many basic functions, we have to say that you get many more functions with the 4155e HP DeskJet. If you only want to do standard printing and copying though, then the 2755e HP DeskJet might be all right for you.
What functions do you get with the HP DeskJet 2755e? You’re able to print, copy, scan, mobile and wireless printing, and manual duplex printing. Duplex printing means the same thing as double-sided printing. Manual duplex means that you have to flip the page yourself, which might be annoying sometimes, but it’s not that hard to do.
What functions do you get with HP DeskJet 4155e? This shares many of the same basic functions such as printing, copying, scanning, mobile and wireless printing, and manual duplex printing. You get a few extra functions though.
The other functions you get with this model are faxing and an automatic document feeder. The document feeder makes it much easier to copy and scan large documents. Even if you don’t often work with larger documents, we still think that it’s much easier to have a document feeder and this improves the overall functionality of the model.

You should always check the printing speed before buying any printer and because you don’t want to buy one that’s incredibly slow or not useful for your needs. We have to say that both are similar here. While HP 4155e is somewhat better, it’s functionally a tie because they have about the same printing speed overall.
What is the printing speed of HP 2755e? This printer is able to output 7.5 PPM for monochrome Printing and 5.5 PPM for color printing. PPM stands for pages per minute, and it lets you know exactly how fast the printer is. These speeds are fairly good and consistent with the overall price tag for these printers.
What is the printing speed of HP 4155e? This is about the same. This is able to output 8.5 PPM for monochrome printing and 5.5 PPM for color printing. As you can see, the speed is relatively the same.
